As the global community approaches the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BPfA) in 2025, the 2024 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) theme, “Towards 30 Years of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action: UNiTE to End Violence Against Women,” calls for renewed commitment to eradicating violence against women.  Activista Nigeria through the FCT State Cell successfully carried out the Hunger-Free Nigeria Campaign in Nyanya, a bustling community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This campaign was a part of our broader initiative to tackle food insecurity and advocate for sustainable solutions to hunger in Nigeria. The event aimed to raise awareness about the alarming levels of food insecurity in Nigeria, particularly in underserved communities, and to engage stakeholders in discussions about actionable steps toward a hunger-free nation. The campaign also emphasized the importance of sustainable agriculture, equitable food distribution, and the empowerment of smallholder farmers. The campaign kicked off with a community sensitization exercise in Nyanya’s central market and residential areas.
